FAQ

Before you ask.

What is Temporary Traffic Control (TTC)?
Temporary Traffic Control is the system of signs, devices, flaggers, and procedures that moves traffic safely through or around a work zone. It's governed by Part 6 of the MUTCD — the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices — plus each state DOT's standards. TTC is literally our middle name: Traffik TTC.
What is a Traffic Control Plan (TCP/MOT plan), and do I need one?
A TCP (in Florida, an MOT plan) is the engineered drawing showing how traffic will be controlled around your work: signs, tapers, device spacing, flagger stations, and phasing. Most cities, counties, and state DOTs require an approved plan before issuing a permit for work that closes a lane, shoulder, or sidewalk. We design plans to MUTCD and state standards — and then execute them with our own crews.
How does the permit process work for road work?
The road authority (city, county, or state DOT) issues a right-of-way or lane closure permit before you can work in the road. Applications typically require a traffic control plan, insurance certificates, and schedule details. Requirements and timelines vary by jurisdiction — we produce the traffic control documentation the application needs and coordinate that scope with the authority.
How fast can you mobilize a crew?
For planned work we schedule around your start date and arrive about 30 minutes early so the zone is built before your crew starts. For emergencies, we mobilize 24/7 — crews and equipped trucks respond nights, weekends, and holidays. Call (786) 775-0232 and a person answers.
Which states do you operate in?
We're licensed and operating in Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Minnesota, with a permanent branch and equipment yard in North Carolina. We also mobilize crews and equipment to additional markets based on project needs.
